"Nowa Tkalnia" is a multi-stage and multi-functional development project that will be built on the site of the former Karol Scheibler factories, located in Łódź, in the block of streets: Tymienieckiego, Kilińskiego, and Milionowa. The project involves the revitalization of historic walls and buildings within the former textile mill complex, as well as the construction of new buildings. The development will also include a Papal Center, which will commemorate Pope John Paul II's visit to the textile mill in 1987. The first phase of the project includes the renovation of the Boiler House and Machine Room buildings, which will house offices and restaurants, as well as the construction of a residential building in the southwestern corner of the textile mill complex, along with a retail and service area on the ground floor. A historic wall surrounding the new building will also be restored. The project will ultimately include 255 apartments, ranging in size from 27 m2 to 75 m2, 203 parking spaces located underground, and retail and service premises. The architectural firm responsible for the project is Broadway Malyan.
