KANWA
City does not arise from nothing. It is a record – a layering of decisions, lines, proportions. Over time, each of them becomes part of a larger order that connects what was with what is yet to come. KANWA discovers this structure anew. This is a project that does not construct reality from scratch, but introduces a new order into the existing urban tissue.
The apartment building at Zamoyskiego Street 24/26 is an attempt at architectural revitalization – a gesture that restores logic to the place. Between the National Theatre and Wedel Chocolate Factory, between history and modernity, a space emerges that does not dominate but organizes.
The KANWA building is not a monotonous mass. It is a composition of different heights, cuts, glazing – a multi-layered narrative written in architecture. From Zamoyskiego Street – 7 above-ground floors that connect with the historical facade and form a cohesive block in the quarter. In its highest point, the building rises to 8 floors, creating a prominent landmark. From the southern side, where it borders on the lake, it gently descends to 5 floors, as if bowing to nature. This is not accidental. The architects designed the building to respect the context – historical, urbanistic, natural. KANWA fits seamlessly into the Praga landscape while introducing something fresh and contemporary.
